Hi Jason and welcome to PF. I work with students everyday and something that might be helpful for you is to find out what type of learner you are (i.e. kinesthetic, auditory, etc.). So if you're an auditory learner, record everything and play it back to listen and learn (I believe there are some programs that will read your study guides/texts to you). If you're kinesthetic, write out areas of subjects that you're having difficulty understanding. And so on. One of the benefits of PF is to work at your own pace. So learn how you learn, take your time to comprehend what you're learning and go for it. Good luck.

Welcome to Penn Foster!

This is actually my second program with Penn Foster. I previously completed the Veterinary Assistant course. After some thought and some time to experiment with what I really wanted to do in the animal world, I have come to realize that Dog Training appeals to me even more. So that is what I am studying this time. Learning comes pretty easy for me when I am learning something that interests me so I am doing well in the program so far. Depending on your learning style, I would just say, make sure to take notes while you are reading the material, and always review the exams before you take them, and look back over any material you are unsure of before taking the exams. Though most of the exams are open book. I don't allow myself to approach the exam like that. I make sure I know all of the material before taking an exam and only look at my notes if I need to look at something.

I am having problems building a simple query in my Pc Advanced class. I follow the instructions and read the chapters but the Professors continues to send the queries back to me stating they are wrong . This is the 5th time can someone help

hopefully someone will see this and help. I spoke with the Professor and she continues to state read the chapter. I have read the chapter and I am following the directions step by step....So I see you have too. I may have to wait until Monday and contact the school again. This is getting depressing. I have everything done but that portion

What is your major? Bus Management? or ? I only know about Bus Management. The journals writing is what you do one by one and you continue to add to the same journal each entry until the end of the course. If I remember correctly there is about 12 to 15 entries where you personalize the essays because they are about you and what you have experiences. Don't wait until the end to try to write these, write one and save the document when you turn it in it will be rather large. Hopefully this helps.

I am looking into changing majors to Accounting and Financing and switching to SNHU. Would i have to finish paying off this semester or is there a "drop out" fee?

I am looking at the scenarios in this project and in one in particular I see more than one dog breed that would fit the family in this scenario. Are they looking for a specific breed or could more than one of them be right?

im having problems with the chrongical order and trying to understand this exam im having the worse time ever trying to do this and try to be on time with it. is there anyone that could help me understand this please thank you

There might be several factors but usually after everything has been finalized, mine was received within 2-3 weeks. A couple weeks or a month after I received a notice regarding transfer credits being applied to my account. Hi Baker14 According to your Student Handbook as quoted by Matthew's post, it will be based on one of the following. I would suggest that you call Student Care (1-888-427-1000) and speak to someone directly as they will be better able to view your Account and advise you on any outstanding tuition/balance since you wish to cancel. You should definitely reach out to your Instructor How can I email my instructor? Rest assured, they are always willing to help and point you in the right direction.

I'm waiting for my American History book to be shipped but it's on backorder, so while I wait can I have the Practical English Course opened for me so I can have something to work on ?

A good place to post something like this is under academic groups then careers and look for the course you are taking. This way it is more likely to be seen by people taking same course.

I was on my last two exams for English Composition. I was getting real burned out on it and needed a break. I contacted Student Services and asked them if they could open my last and final course for my second semester which is Electrical-electronics Theory. The rep I spoke with was more than happy to open it up for me.

I need help im doing the microsoft word 2013 course.. all i can use is microsoft online so it doesn't make sense with the study guide at all

What happens if I want to stop going to pennfoster and transfer?

In the dog Selection Graded project the question asks for one breed that would be most suitable. In a couple of the scenarios I see more than one that would be suitable. Is there a definite one that is the only right answer?
