Having trouble getting to my Diesel Technology textbook. All I get is the study guide. I am a new student. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi there!
Your textbooks are sent from the school to you and may take about 10 business days to arrive. You can check your Shipment History on your My Courses Page.
To the right-hand side of the page is a box labeled "What would you like to do?", about a third of the way down the box is a link titled, "View Shipment History". Here you will see a shipment status for each course. Through the shipment date, you should be able to roughly determine when you textbook will arrive to you.
If the course has a physical textbook you'll see a message similar to this:
Digital Study Guides are online only. Other items in module shipped 3/31/2015
This means the you will receive a textbook in the mail as well as have an online Study Guide to help guide you through the textbook and course.
If the course does not have a physical textbook you'll see a message similar to this:
Online delivery only. No materials will be shipped
This message means that all of your Course Material is online.

Hi there!
I am not entirely sure, however, I am assuming it is safe to say that you will have at least some textbooks. To check to see if you will, you can look under "Program Outline". You can find this under "Program Supplements" on your "My courses Page" This should detail your program and the courses that you will be taking along with any supplements included.
FYI: Each book will be sent to you as you take that specific course (if the course has a physical textbook). You won't receive all textbook at once- unless you have payed the semester in full and sign a waiver to release all course material.

You're very welcome! I understand that completely. If you want you can also print your study guides (if available) and store them in binders. I have done this in the past. It is especially helpful to me in courses that I find to be more difficult to understand or need special attention.

I have also found that printing the online ones make it alot better for me too so i can take notes, and look back at what i needed to study more

If their are no text books, right below the title of the subject it should say something like this "Online delivery only. No materials will be shipped".

Hi Mataya Wheeler,
Our 2nd year Ambassador Allison Bohrer has given you some great advice here. I am also so sorry for your experience! I have found that some schools will not release to the actual student, instead they are looking for a parent to request them. Some schools have given students a horrible time concerning records that rightfully belong to the student. Just know that you are not the only one; but it is incredibly unethical of the school. If a parent cannot request your records on your behalf, then go directly to the school district. You can probably do some research online or give them a call to see what they will require to release your official transcripts to you.

Yes, there are some physical textbooks sent with each semester of a degree program, however, the editions and texts may change from one year to the next. You should be able to get a list from your instructor.

Upon reviewing your account I see that your project has been graded.. congrats on a job well done! As Cameron mentioned, if your project is missing something it will be returned or RTN will show on your portal. There will also be a file you can download which will have instructor comments about what areas need improvement. I just wanted to clarify that 70 is passing for degree students, and 65 would be for career and High School Students.
