Banfield is also mentioned under the Vet Tech so I would try them also. They may not have a partnership though with them for the assistant course but it is worth checking into.
If I was the person in charge of taking in a student for externship, I would prefer someone who comes in prepared to talk about possible externships vs someone that picks up a phone.
What about calling to set up a meeting? Because I know office managers are
always busy.
I've tried banfield had an interview and everything but they are strictly
vet tech
ah ok
I thought about that also after I said it. Maybe for offices that are close to you stop in and say you would like to make an appointment to speak to the office manager. You might get lucky that they could see you for a few minutes and if interested invite you back to talk to you further.
If you have not checked out what I have going on in the Vet Assistant forum please check it out. Another person and I are starting to ask question based on areas they have lot of experience with. For me it is horses for the other person it is chickens. We want to get more people involved on a regular basis in that forum.
does anyone know what this means?
Hopefully but thanks for the advice. It really was helpful.
Is the last thing you have to be graded in your program the Subjective exam?
Hello Everyone
I was under the impression we had 2 extensions for the entirety of our program (so all four semesters). But after reading the Undergraduate Student Catalog, now I'm confused. It states:
So are we allotted the 2 extensions for the entirety of the program or per semester?
I understand that it says "In most programs", but, it doesn't specify any program, so is there any more concise information on this; considering that, that is the Student Catalog?
Thanks in advance!
Oh, and here's a link to the Undergraduate Student Catalog:

I am guessing you have to renew it... I would contact an instructor. I am pretty sure if you don't by a certain date that you have to retake the whole thing.
what do I need to do if I went to take a test and it says that its expired?
I just redone 2 essays today
THANK YOU
I also felt the same way for a while. I did not complete an exam for months at a time, so I was badly behind. What helped me was thinking positive and keeping a planner, to plan what days you I needed to study and what days I needed to take an exam. You refusing not to give up, shows that you are positive! Keep in mind of all the rewards you'll receive once you are done with your program. Good luck on your studies!
This is a great question because I have to admit I thought I understood the policy, and I got out my enrollment agreement to see what my contract says. I am in the Associate Finance program and on page 2 of my enrollment under Graduation it states; You will have 12 months to complete each semester. You may request two six-month extensions at any time provided your program is completed within six years. My understanding was two extensions was the maximum you could request within that four to six year period? I agree with you that this needs further clarification.
You're welcome!
When we give ourselves too many choices, sometimes nothing gets done. This could be compared to an exercise program and if you ask yourself if you feel like exercising each day, you may never exercise again. I make exercising and studying not an option but a must each day. That does not mean you must spend an hour on each every day. It means you must allot the time just like you do to brush your teeth, take a shower, go to work, or spend time with your family. Many times in life we are forced to do things we might avoid if given a choice, but know it is the right choice to make for ourself or our family. Years down the road you will look back on those times and realize that although it was not easy, you stuck with it and got through it. You will be so happy and proud that you did. Good luck!
