I agree that you need to talk to student care to clarify your name change. This is something that effects others too. I think the enrollment application should be changed to include a question and/or space to note change in name due to marriage, divorce, or just someone who had a legal name change for whatever reason. I can forsee issues in other transfer students. Good luck!

We offer all of our programs on an open-enrollment basis. There are no start dates or study schedules. You could most certainly enroll in the summer months, if that is when you wish to begin your lessons, however, the program is offered as a complete High School Diploma Program, and not by one class or one grade level.
If you are needing to make up a course for your current school, please call 1-800-961-6407 (ext. 6313) from 9-5pm EST. One of our representatives can provide you with more information about enrolling in one or two subjects for the summer. Please keep in mind that you should check with your school to be sure they will accept Penn Foster credits before you enroll.

As far as the differences with the payment plans go, paying in full if you can is the best value - $999! If you need to space out the payments, you can do the Auto-Pay system and pay $1299. Or, you can choose the Standard Pay system and pay a total of $1499.
We don't think that education is a waste of money, and neither do you! So you can cancel at any time, but you will generally not be able to receive a full refund if you cancel more than five calendar days after enrollment. Refunds and billing are handled on a pro-rated basis. Like LynW said, give us a call at 1.888.427.1000, and we will make sure you get everything that you need!
