Hi there!

The Course Journals are meant to serve as a final exam for the course. The purpose of the journal is to evaluate your understanding of the material as you progress though the course. There will be a total of 18 course journal entries you need to complete. The journals will be submitted in three stages (acting as three exams). You will submit journals 1-6, 7-12, and then 13-20.

Throughout your study guide you will find the prompts for each specific journal entry you need to complete. They will appear after the Self Check questions in the Study Guide. You can find the prompts for Entries 1-6 on pages 33, 42, 58, 62, 73, and 80 respectively.

More details for the Course Journals, including how to format them is on page 18. Beginning on page 83 you will find information on Course Journals 1-6 criteria, how to submit them, and a grading rubric. You can find more information on the Course Journals in the Syllabus and in the Introduction to English Composition video (both can be found under Resources.

If you still need help, I would recommend contacting an English instructor. I hope that this was helpful!

Best of wishes, and good luck in your studies!
