According to the student handbook from my signup date, the proctor exam counts for 33% of the final grade. I doubt that this has changed.

Hi Tricia!

The grading process of projects usually takes few days depending on how much writing you needed to do. I would say 5 - 7 business days.

You will certainly see your grade posted if it was graded. If your submitted project was received but not graded yet, you'll see RCD. If your project does not meet the requirements or if you have submitted the wrong file, then you'll see RTN for returned.

This also correct for all written exams in English, Spanish, etc.

Good luck!

There are always times when anyone can feel discouraged in what they want to do with their lives. If you're in school and you have your heart set on something but feel like you might not be able to do it, you just need to look in the mirror and say to yourself--I will not let anything get me down, I can do this and complete my goal. I know sometimes I feel overwhelmed and think that I might not make a good vet tech, or that I might not be able to handle it. But I just remember that I love helping animals and I believe that this is my calling. Anyone can do anything if they put their mind to it! Hope this helps! **If it ever gets to the point where that person is depressed beyond the norm, they need to seek professional help immediately.**

Re: can someone explain to me how to solve practice problem 2 in the Engineering Mechanics Part 2 course?

One way to break a force into components that align with the x or y axis is to use components of forces.

Multiply the force times the cos sin of the angle to break the force into its x and y components.

Experiment with some simple forces and angles to get the hang of these types of calculations.

Use 100 pounds at a positive 30 degree angle up from the horizontal.

Make sure your calculator is set to degree mode rather than radian mode.

100 lbs x sin 30 = 50 lbs in the y axis direction

100 lbs x cos 30 = 86.6 lbs in the x axis direction

Your goal is to find the values that put the system in equilibrium.

The forces up must equal the forces downward.

The forces to the left must equal forces to the left.

Basically forces must cancel each other out and equal zero to be in equilibrium.

Once the table has identified all forces along the x and y axis, you need to calculate the force needed to make the system be in equilibrium.

The example above on the blue paper is a good example.

I am not taking the mechanical engineering course so I do not know what it contains.

I am taking computer programming.
